Drabble: Long Suffering

Krypto leaped excitedly over to Ace, who just gave a long suffering sigh in response, and didn’t even bother to open his eyes.

Krypto sniffed, bowing his head so his noise touched Ace’s face, whining. Ace just sighed again, before he slowly opened his eyes, to find Krypto’s head still in front of his own.

He knew what he wanted. He was, after all, the world’s greatest doggy detective.

Sighing once more, he raised his own head, then nuzzled Krypto’s in return.

Then he closed his eyes and tried to get back to sleep, while the white dog cavorted all around him.
