Congratulations Star! I was so happy seeing your name between the winners on WFA results. Well deserved! :) And thank you very much for all your awesome stories.
The child glared at her, and she felt a shock. That was a Bruce look, though it was normally reserved for criminals. WOW, "a Bruce look" – I loved that!
But she could see deeper than that. Could see that under it all, under all his anger and aggression, there was pain. A great deal of pain. Cass seeing the resemblance between Bruce and Damian – I liked it. And it was amazing how she could see the true Damian’s feelings – his pain.
A need to be accepted. To be part of a family. To have a man like Bruce as your protector. Dick was a good big brother. But he wasn't... Bruce. That was excellently written!
"And I," she said, knowing her tone sounded like that of a big sister rather than a threat, "will be keeping an eye on you." AWWWWW! A big sister – perfect!
I loved the way you wrote Damian in this story. I think you described his true feelings and needs so well! And Cass, being able to see it all and understand it – that was so wonderful! Thank you so much for sharing this. :)
