It was beautiful here. So quiet and... quaint, almost, but incredibly stunning in its own way. Diana smiled at Clark, his happy grin further lighting up the scene. Bruce was hiding in the only shadow visible, of course, and Diana's smile turned amused.
This place reminded her strongly of home, of fields full of golden corn as far as the eye could see, bending slightly in the gentle breeze. This place... it was perfect for Clark. It must be the only place for him, truly, the Kent farm in Smallville. Diana smiled again.
It was a good respite for Bruce, too. After spending so long in shadows and darkness he needed to come somewhere like this, where his soul could rest for a time. It was good for all of them, a reminder of all they fought for, all they sacrificed for.
She could feel the elements strongly around her, the rich earth beneath her feet, the breeze tangling in her hair, the fire from the sun, the water carefully stored in the corn.
Clark was ablaze with light; Bruce was swathed in shadows. Diana stood between them, the light and dark combined.

This is BEAUTIFUL!
Diana understands what Smallville and the Kent Farm means to Clark, and her 'feel' for the elements is just perfect.
Her amusement at Bruce hiding in the shadows is cute. ;)
And the last line is perfect, because she truly combines the best of both of them.

It was really fun playing with Diana and how she is connected to the elements, especially in the setting of the Kent farm.
Her amusement at Bruce hiding in the shadows is cute. ;)
Of course he found a shadow to hide in! :p
Thank you for commenting, Brady! :)

That's such a wonderful line! I love the way Diana is so connected to it all, and how she stands between the shadows and the light (Bruce finding the one bit of shadow makes me so happy!) :) So beautiful...

And I love Bruce lurking in the shadows, probably being all 'D: NONCITYSCAPE???' lol.
I suspect Bruce spent his time
sulkinglurking in the barn. At least it has rafters he can crouch on! :PIt was really fun to imagine them all at Smallville! :) Thank you for commenting!
