Monday 18th February 2008
Number of Crimes Stopped: 3
Number of Murders (witnessed): 0
Number of Escapes from Arkham: 0
Review of Night: Very quiet night. Seems everyone is still recovering from the events of last night. Did normal patrol, sent Robin home early. Returned home early myself - no point in staying out.
Notes: Need to check on grapples. Look at adding new equipment WayneTech has designed.
Notes on Team: Robin was quiet again, though we only had minimal interaction tonight, due to it being quiet and going on separate patrol. Suspicion of argument with Superboy confirmed.
Bruce's Notes: I'm still worried about Tim. Though he was less quiet today, he's clearly not 'right'. I spoke with everyone, and we all agreed it was the result of a argument with Kon. I hope they make up soon, for Kon's sake if nothing else. I can not guarantee that I won't have a 'discussion' with him if this continues. Nor can I guarantee that Dick and Cass won't do the same. Kon does not want Bats angry with him.
Had a meeting with Lucius today. I had most of the day off, due to it being my birthday tomorrow, having interviews because of it, and having a party at the manor tonight. Which was something I could do without. I would be perfectly happy to just have a small celebration - if anything - tomorrow. But it's expected of Bruce Wayne. If I didn't hold a party, there would be questions and sometimes its just not worth the bother. I got through it, just, thanks to having numerous breaks. The bad thing about being a host - and it being your birthday party - is that you can't just slip off, like I usually do.
Well, it's my birthday tomorrow. Another year gone. Just the family tomorrow, with Clark and Kon too. Michael was saying that he might be coming over, but I doubt he will. Babs told me that something is up with the JSA. I'll find out about it tomorrow. If they let me into the cave. They have a annoying habit of not allowing me to work on my birthday. This year, I won't let Clark distract me.
Hope I can sleep tonight. I always have dreams about my parents on the eve of my birthday. Not nightmares, but I can see their faces, hear their voices and... Some dreams are worse than nightmares, even if no one dies.

Yeah, the last line is pretty sad and haunting. Bruce is a pretty wounded soul. Can't blame him, either.
Should be nice to have the family all around for his birthday, though. :)
