Short Drabble about Bruce and Gotham. Vaguely inspired by icon.

I look out over Gotham. My City, My Mistress, My Life.

She takes so much from me, and yet...she gives so much back.

She gives me a purpose, a meaning to my life, and though she is demanding, I love her with everything I am.

I know that others don't understand. All they can see is the pain and suffering that is endured by us here, but they don’t have the same connection to her as I do that allows me to see the hope.

So much hope my city and her people have.

And she is all mine, and no others.

I would have it no other way.

Ahhhhhhhhhhhhhh!!! Bruce/Gotham is my OTP! I mean, Bruce/Clark is my OTP, but I can't have Bruce without Gotham. This drabble makes me so happy! Thank you so much, I have such an unhealthy love for that fictional city, with all it's inherent crazyness, I really loved the rational behind Bruce's love and dedication.

They really don't get it, do they? A real Gothamite can't quit Gotham. She seeps into their hearts :)
