Matt Young was not, shall we say, the sharpest knife in the drawer. And so, one night, he made the worst mistake of his life: he tried to burgle Wayne Manor.

****************************************

Matt cursed as he made his way through the gardens of Wayne Manor. Did there really need to be so many rose bushes? He cursed again, this time because of the darkness. He thought he had been very clever in choosing a moonless night to do this, but now he wasn't so sure. His torches batteries had died after only five minutes, and of course he hadn't brought any spares, so he had to stumble through what seemed to be miles of rose bushes, with nearly every single one succeeding in making him bleed. Matt wondered if this was why no one had ever burgled Wayne Manor before: they had all bleed to death before they even got close.

But, soon, his trials would all be over, and he would be so rich! Matt grinned at the thought. Finally, finally, he could see the house. He stared up at it, open mouthed. This wasn't a house, it was a... a... fortress! Matt closed his mouth, and swallowed hard. He felt the first feelings of doubt, but reminded himself he what he was going to get from doing this. He would never have to worry about anything again, and the best of it was that he would have women falling all over themselves for him.

Matt smirked. All he had to do was find an open window. Someone was bound to have left one open. There was so many, after all. Five minutes later, he had one. The house seemed to go one forever, like the garden, (he pulled a particularly nasty thorn out of his arm at the thought) but that didn't matter now. Carefully, he made his way inside.

Heh! Beat that! He was inside Wayne Manor, and nothing could stop him now! Not even the Bat! In fact, the Bat wouldn't be able to beat him! Oh, no, Matt Young could teach the Bat a thing or two about sneaking! Flushed with the glow of his success, Matt started moving down the hallway he had entered from the window. He picked a door at random, failing to notice, (or perhaps being drawn to) the light spilling from under it. He opened the door and froze at what he saw inside.

Not at the hundreds and hundreds of dollars worth of furniture, paintings, and electronics, (although there was, he later realized) but rather, at the people inside the room. Or rather, at what two of them doing. Superman was holding Batman in his arms, and was kissing him deeply.

Matt's mouth fell open, and he made an involuntary sound of surprise. A sound that Superman must of heard, because he stopped kissing... (kissing?!) Batman. They both turned, and looked at him. Matt's mouth opened and closed, but no sound came out. That was when he really noticed the others. Robin, Batgirl, Superboy and Nightwing. Every. Single. One. Of. Them. And they were all glaring at him!

Terrified, Matt moved backwards. A throat cleared. Matt jumped three feet in the air. An old man, dressed impeccably in a suit was staring at him. With a shotgun pointing at him. Matt felt waves of terror washing over him. The old man raised an eyebrow. And Matt? Well, Matt fell on the floor in a dead faint.

Bruce tilted his head slightly as he gazed upon the prone form of the would be burglar. He could hear Dick, Tim and Kon's muffled laughter. He knew Cassandra was smiling under her mask. Alfred poked at the burglar, before sighing, and going to phone the police. And as for Clark... well, Clark just kissed him again.
