Drabble: Friendship

He loved his Friend. Krypto wagged his tail harder and harder, whined a little. His Man smiled at him, petted his head and scratched his ears, and Krypto wagged his tail even more.

Then the door opened at last, and Friend was there. Krypto bounced forward, barked excitedly. Friend was still and silent, but he knew he was just as excited and happy to see him. He stretched his front legs out, tail still wagging, woofed encouragingly. ‘Play?’ He asked.

Ace barked once, and Krypto leaped into the air again.

His Man laughed. Friend’s Man was there too, and he smelt of His Man. “Go on, then!” His Man said, and Krypto barked again, then bounded out the door, Friend by his side, to play.

Oh, I love the differences in their nonverbals. *grin* Krypto is just everywhere all at once, and Ace is so controlled.

*grins* It's so much fun to write Krypto and Ace and to contrast their natures - Krypto is always SO HAPPY and Ace is just as happy, really, but far more reserved. :)
