Drabble: Silent Exchange

Title: Silent Exchange
Rating: PG
Pairing: Clark/Bruce
Word Count: 100
Disclaimer: I own nothing
Author's Note: For [livejournal.com profile] eve_k! Unbetaed, so point and I shall correct! :)

Bruce settled on the sofa, in his arms, and Clark could not resist pressing a kiss to his dark hair.

He couldn't imagine going to so many parties as Bruce did, doing and saying increasingly stupid things...

Bruce sighed and sat up, looking weary. He smiled wanly at him, and Clark smiled gently back; he understood. A flash of gratitude shone in Bruce’s wolf blue eyes, then he stood and went down to the cave, to recover, to be alone.

Clark stayed on the sofa. They had not even exchanged a word, he realized. They did not have to.

Whee! Thank you so much for this lovely drabble!!

This sounds so true, Bruce needs the time alone to find himself and refocus on what gives his life meaning. (Don´t we all?) And who would better understand this than the man who calls his own retreat the Fortress of Solitude?

OH this is so loving and sweet. I love the way you have the boys so know each other that yes words are not necessary.
Thanks for sharing baby

I always do love when Clark understands Bruce without any words being exchanged! And I really love when Clark gives Bruce his space with such grace, it shows how much he really understands him...

Poor Bruce.

“They did not have to.” - That’s so true, IMO. They understand each other so well even without words.

There was so much love and understanding between Clark and Bruce - and you captured it so well. Thank you very much for sharing this story Star. :)
