worlds_finest's Shuffle B Challenge! Prompt of 'Beg For Me'. Unbetaed, so point and I shall correct! :)
"Bruce, Please... Please." Clark was begging, his voice broken.
Bruce drew a gasping breath, but didn't speak. He didn't have the breath to, the time to.
"Please," Clark whispered again, and Bruce thought he felt moisture falling, but it was difficult to tell, everything was fading away... He tried to reach up, to touch Clark, to reassure him somehow. But his limbs didn't obey his orders, and it was taking him too long to figure out why.
"Please, just hang on. Just a little longer, J'onn and Diana will be here soon..."
Bruce felt his whole body move, jerkily, and it took him some time to realize that it hadn't been him, but Clark, who made the movement. It seemed to take a great deal of energy to open his eyes, and when he did, he could hardly see. There was blackness, tinged with blue, everywhere.
"C... Cla..." His voice wasn't working properly either, and he frowned inwardly. He should be feeling a lot more alarmed, he knew, but... Everything seemed so far away, so unimportant.
"Bruce. Bruce, Please. Just hang on."
Bruce finally managed to move his arm, his right arm, and touched Clark's shoulder. He felt Clark's body move, and he could see again suddenly. Clark's eyes filled his entire world.
He smiled.
Bruce closed his eyes again, and felt the world drift away. He didn't hear Clark's cries, his pleas.
Didn't hear him begging for him.
