Everyone said that Bruce wasn't trustworthy. Diana had to admit she did know why they said that, had moments of doubt herself, and yet... And yet, she was always reminded that Bruce was one of the most trustworthy people she knew, the most trusted man, with the exception of Clark.

They were both more than trustworthy; two brothers standing at her side, with absolute trust in her. While Bruce would sometimes, in the bleakest times, act otherwise, say that he didn't trust her or Clark, Diana knew it was a lie. Even if he told it to himself, regarded them with suspicion, if they ever did or said anything that confirmed those suspicions... Some part of Bruce would break.

Diana sighed, then smiled as she saw Clark and Bruce enter the room together, Clark talking, Bruce nodding in response. Clark's openness was a balm to Bruce's soul, weary after having to doubt nearly everyone, the lasso on her hip reminding her, reminding them all, that they should stay truthful to each other, and never allow the trust they held for each other to be broken.

Aww! I love this - great little study of character. (hopefully that makes some sense...it did in my tired French brain)

And I really like how you describes what she sees when they enter the room, and what it means/reminds her about. :)

Excellent work!!

Yay! I'm really glad you liked it! And that made perfect sense! :)

Diana is very good for observations like this, I find. I wish I could write her more often!
